How to order an Apostille Certificate from the North Dakota Secretary of State

An original or certified copy is required. You can order a certified copy of your articles and request an Apostille at the same time. We recommend faxing the order, only if you are requesting the certified copy at the same time. Normal processing takes up to 2 days, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $10.00. Expedited service is not available. Always provide the name of the country needing a North Dakota Apostille or Certificate of Authentication.

Do you need to order a certified copy at the same time or does the fee include a certified copy?

A certified copy can be ordered at the same time. This fee does not include a certified copy.


How much does it cost to obtain an North Dakota Apostille?

$10.00 per document for normal processing.

No. However, most documents are processed the same day.
