What are the options and different ways you can change your Connecticut registered agent?

To change your Connecticut registered agent you have to file a Change of Agent form with the Connecticut Secretary of the State, Commercial Recording Division (SOTS). Connecticut has one form for domestic business entities and another form for foreign entities. You do not have to use the forms provided by Connecticut SOTS. You can draft your own as long as they contain the required information. Corporations and LLCs are not required to have original signature on filed documents.

You can file by mail, fax, or walk in. If you file by fax you can choose normal or expedited processing. You will have to include your Visa or MasterCard information on the Fax Filing Service Request cover sheet. Walked in documents are accepted between 8:30 and 4:00.
