What are the options and different ways you can change your Hawaii registered agent?

To change your corporation or LLCs Hawaii Registered Agent, submit the completed Form X-7, Statement of Change of Registered Agent by Entity to the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Business Registration Division (BREG). Hawaii has one universal form for changing the registered agent where you select your type of entity at the top of the form. Make sure you write or type using black ink.

The statement of change form may be filed by mail, fax, online or walk in. Filing fees may be paid to the BREG by mailing in the form with a check or by walk-in with check or credit card. To file by fax, the documents must include legible signatures, the amount of the charge, the sender’s credit card and contact information, and must specify regular or expedited review.

Make checks payable to Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

Hawaii does not allow you to change your Registered Agent by filing an amendment. You may change your Registered Agent in your Annual Report.

How much does it cost to change your registered agent in Hawaii?

There is a $25 filing fee to change your registered agent in Hawaii.
If you are a limited partnership, the filing fee is $10.
Expedited processing requires an additional $25 fee.
