What are the options and different ways you can change your Kentucky registered agent?

1) Change of Agent Form
One way to change your Kentucky registered agent is to file a Statement of Change of Principal Office Address, Registered Agent and/or Registered Office Address. If you file by mail or in person, submit the original Change of Agent form and one exact copy with the filing fee. You can pay fees by cash, check, and debit or credit. Make checks for fees payable to “Kentucky State Treasurer.”

2) Online
The second option for changing your Kentucky registered agent is to do it online. You can follow the link below or go to the Secretary of State website and visit the Business Services homepage. Under the “Business Filings” heading, choose “Update information regarding principal office, registered office and/or registered agent.” You can then use the FastTrack feature to enter your business name or organization number and change your registered agent information. If you change your agent online, you can pay using Electronic Funds Transfer.

Kentucky SOS does not allow you to change your registered agent by filing an amendment to the articles or in your annual report.
