There are several ways to change your Minnesota registered agent.

The Minnesota Secretary of State (SOS) allows you to change your Minnesota registered agent any time by filing the form in person, by mail, or online.

You can’t just change an entity’s Minnesota registered agent on the annual renewal form; you must include an amendment form and fee. For foreign corporations, include change of agent form and fee with the annual renewal.

You can always just file an amendment to change your domestic entity’s Minnesota registered agent.

How much does it cost to change your registered agent in Minnesota?

It costs $35 to change the Minnesota registered agent for your LLC or domestic corporation.
It costs $50 to change the Minnesota registered agent for a foreign corporation.
There is an additional $10 fee to change your Minnesota registered agent online using Business Express Services.
