How to get a Certificate of Good Standing from the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs

You can order a certificate of good standing in the State of Hawaii by fax, mail, email, phone, in person or online, but we recommend online. Online orders can be printed immediately. In person orders can be processed and issued within 15 minutes. Normal processing takes up to 5 days, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $7.50. Expedited service is not available.

Go to their website and follow the instructions provided to sign up, search and print a certificate. You will be able to authenticate, view and print the certificate yourself. The document will be emailed to you immediately in pdf format.

By Mail:
You will want to provide the business name, specific request, payment, and a daytime phone number for any questions on your request.

By Fax:
You will want to provide the business name, specific request, and a daytime phone number for any questions on a normal fax cover sheet. You will need to provide your credit card number by fax or by phone, whichever you prefer.

By Email:
You will want to provide the business name, specific request, Visa or MasterCard number, and a daytime phone number for any questions on your email request.

By Phone:
You will want to have the business name and Visa or MasterCard number handy when calling in your request.

In Person:
You will want to have the business name and Visa or MasterCard number handy when requesting in person. In person requests can be issued within 15 minutes. As long as you are there prior to 4:00 you will receive your Certificate that same day.

$7.50 for online and normal processing.

Is expedited processing available?

No. However, online is immediate.
