How to file your Louisiana Commercial Division Annual Report:

Your Louisiana annual reports will be mailed to your principal address of record. They will mostly be pre-printed out for you. You can also file online, but you will need the renewal ID from the state and your charter number to file. The renewal ID can be obtained by calling the Louisiana Secretary of State.

Anniversary of filing date, on the exact day.

What is the cost to file the Louisiana annual report?

For profit corporations and LLC's cost $25 to file.
Louisiana non-profit organizations cost $5 to file, but foreign non-profit companies doing business in Louisiana still cost the $25 filing fee.

If you file online or fax, there is also a $5 convenience fee to use credit cards.

Late fees?

There are no late fees, but if you don't file them, your company goes out of good standing immediately. If you leave your Louisiana company delinquent for 3 years, it is revoked.

How do I get notified?

Annual reports are mailed out exactly 1 month prior to their due dates to the principal address.

Who can file Louisiana annual reports?

The reports HAVE to be signed by a member or manager listed for a Louisiana LLC, and Louisiana corporations have to be signed by an officer or director of the company. Lousiana has some of the weirdest signing laws in the country, and if you're an attorney in fact, you should be very careful you know what you're agreeing to when you sign the annual report.
