  1. Go to the LA Secretary of State's website (use the link below).
  2. Find the option “File Amendments,” and click it.
  3. Enter the LLC's charter number. The charter number can be found by performing a business name search.
  4. Select the type of amendment to file (Statement of Change $25, Name Change $150, Withdrawal $150).
  5. Enter new information.
  6. Pay the filing fee.

Can you re-state the initial articles instead of filing an amendment?

No. Louisiana does not offer an option to restate the initial articles of organization.

Are there any specifics you can or can’t include with a Louisiana LLC amendment?

A Louisiana Limited Liability Company may amend any following item listed on the original article of organization: registered agent name and registered office, mailing address, domicile street address in state where organized, principal business address, principal business establishment in Louisiana.
