How to file a Montana LLC Amendment:

To make amendments your Montana Limited Liability Company, you submit the completed Articles of Amendment for Domestic Limited Liability Company form to the Secretary of State by mail, fax or in person, along with the filing fee.

Can you re-state the initial articles instead of filing an amendment?

Montana Secretary of State does not offer a form for restatement of articles of organization; however, Montana code allows for such to be filed at any time and replace your original articles. It is recommended that you call the Secretary of State to be sure you have all the statutory requirements so that your restated articles will not be rejected.

All original articles of organization may be amended on the articles of amendment form.
