How to get a Certificate of Good Standing from the Nebraska Secretary of State

A certificate of good standing in the state of Nebraska can be ordered by mail, phone, in person, or online, but we recommend online. Online processing costs $10 and takes up to 3 business days, plus additional time for mailing. Normal processing takes up to 4 days, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $10. Expedited service is not available.

You will want to provide the business name, payment, return address information, specific request and a daytime phone number for any questions.

By Phone:

Called in requests are accepted only if you have already set up a charge account with their office. However, you can call in your order and then mail your payment separately. They can give you a more specific timeframe for processing.

In Person:

Requested documents can usually be provided within 1 hour. You will want to have your payment handy.
