How to order a certified copy of Articles of Organization or a certified copy of Articles of Incorporation
from the State of New Jersey
A certified copy of your Articles of Organization or Articles of Incorporation can be ordered by fax, mail or in person, but we recommend faxing. Normal processing takes up to 3 weeks, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $25.00, plus $1.00 per page, or more depending on the type of business entity. Expedited service is available for $25.00 more and should take less than 8.5 hours, plus additional time for mailing.

Requests by mail will be expedited only if paying the additional fee and sending by courier service. You will want to provide the business name, 10-digit business ID, payment, return address information, specific request and a daytime phone number for any questions.
By Fax:
Faxing is considered expedited processing and requires an additional fee. You will want to provide the business name, 10-digit business ID, specific request, return address information, and a daytime phone number for any questions on a normal fax cover sheet.
In Person:
Counter service has optional expedited processing which requires an additional fee. You will want to have your payment and 10-digit business ID number handy.
How much does it cost to obtain a certified copy of New Jersey Articles of Incorporation or New Jersey Articles of Organization?
$25.00 for certification, plus $1.00 per page, for normal processing (all except LLC/LLP).
$25.00 for certification, plus $10.00 for the first page and $2.00 each additional page, for normal processing (LLC/LLP only).
$40.00 for certification, plus $1.00 per page, for expedited processing (all except LLC/LLP).
$50.00 for certification, plus $10.00 for the first page and $2.00 each additional page, for expedited processing (LLC/LLP only).
Is expedited processing available?
Yes. An expedited service fee of $15.00 is required, in addition to the regular fee for corporate and limited partnership forms. An expedited service fee of $25.00 is required, in addition to the regular fees for LLCs and LLPs. Also providing a self-addressed stamped envelope will speed processing.
