How to order a certified copy of Articles of Organization or a certified copy of Articles of Incorporation
from New York Department of State
A certified copy of your Articles of Organization or Articles of Incorporation can be ordered by fax, mail or in person, but we recommend faxing. Normal processing takes up to 5 days, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $10.00. Expedited service is available for $35.00 or more and should take less than 24 hours, plus additional time for mailing.

By Mail:
Requests by mail will be expedited only if paying the additional fee. You will want to provide the business name, payment or credit card authorization form, return address information, specific request and a daytime phone number for any questions.
By Fax:Credit/Debit Payment Authorization form required. You will want to provide the business name, specific request, return address information and a daytime phone number for any questions on a normal fax cover sheet.
In Person:Requested documents are processed normally, unless expedited fees are requested paid. You will want to have your payment handy.
How much does it cost to obtain a certified copy of New York Articles of Incorporation or New York Articles of Organization?
$10.00 for normal processing.
$35.00 for 24 hour expedited processing.
$85.00 for same day expedited processing.
$160.00 for 2 hour expedited processing.
Is expedited processing available?
Yes. An expedited service fee of $25.00 is required for 24 hour processing, $75.00 for same day processing, or $150.00 for 2 hour processing, in addition to the regular $10.00 fee. Same day expedited service requests must be received by noon. Requests for 2 hour service must be received by 2:30 pm. Expedited service fees are non-refundable.

It will be mailed by regular mail, unless you request otherwise, and provide authorization to charge the shipping fees to your credit card or by providing a pre-addressed prepaid envelope or Fed Ex airbill. Return service by UPS, fax or email is not available.
