How to resign as registered agent in Idaho:

There are two separate forms for resigning as a registered agent in Idaho. The proper form to use will depend on whether you are a commercial registered agent or a non-commercial registered agent.  Non-commercial registered agents must submit the Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent form to the Secretary of State by mail, fax or in person. Submit all forms in duplicate to the Idaho Secretary of State.

Commercial registered agents must use the Statement of Change, Resignation or Termination by Commercial Registered Agent form.

Do you have to notify the Idaho entity you’re serving as registered agent for before you resign or after?

You must promptly furnish the represented entity with written notice of your resignation and provide the date it has been filed with the Secretary of State.

Is there a fee to resign as the Idaho registered agent for a corporation, LLC, or other business entity?

There is no fee required in Idaho to resign as registered agent.
