Deliver a signed original Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent form to the Iowa SOS. You also have to send a copy of the statement by certified mail to the corporation at principal office and registered office.
LLCs:

You also have to certify that you sent a copy of the statement to the LLC by certified mail to its principal office and registered office if it has one. Deliver a signed original statement of resignation to the Iowa SOS.
