Pros
- Idaho has the woods and natural beauty which for most Idahoans outweighs the 8% income tax.
- Doing business in Idaho is very cheap, not very regulatory, and very easy.
- Idaho is a state where the general belief is that the government should not be big, thus making it a great place to easily run a business.
- Annual reports do not have a fee and they can be filed online instantly.
- The Idaho Secretary of State is a friendly, small, well run organization.
Cons
- The downside to not very much regulation is that you really have to do your homework when hiring a company. You get a lot of Chuck-in-the-trucks and red necks that can’t hold down normal jobs being self-employed. Now on the flip side, if you can get lucky and find a good red neck that has high standards of work ethics, you’ll get a great product done for you at a GREAT price.
- Another big downside at least to Northern Idaho is that the beauty of it brings a lot of cool people to the area, that don’t really want to work that hard, are burnt out of the regular run around of life, and aren’t very motivated to work very hard. Running a big company that needs highly skilled employees is challenging to find the proper staff needed.
