Utah Annual Renewal Filing Instructions

How to file your Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code Annual Renewal:

The easiest way to renew your Utah business license (file your annual report) is online. When filing online, you'll be asked for your Utah Entity number and renewal ID number. The renewal ID number will be on the postcard you received at your registered agent's address.

If you don't want to file online, you can download the Utah renewal form off the website and send it in by mail.

When is the Utah Annual Report due?

Your Utah annual report/renewal is due 1 year after you either form a new business or register your business from out of state. You will have a report due every year thereafter. So if you filed your company on May 3rd, 2009, you're next report will be due May 3rd, 2010.

What is the cost to file the Utah annual report?

It costs $15.00 to file your Utah annual report.

Late fees?

The Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code charges a $10.00 late fee if you don't pay and file on time.

You can pay with Visa, MasterCard or American Express online and a check payment by mail. If you're sending in multiple filings, please make separate checks for each entity name.

How do I get notified?

45 days prior to the due date, you'll get a postcard sent to your registered agent's address. That's why it's important to have a good registered agent. The postcard contains the Renewal ID number needed to file online. If you use Northwest Registered Agent, LLC as your Utah registered agent, you'll receive this postcard via email right away, and it will be stored under your account, so you can log in at any time and see it. You'll also receive separate email notification reminders to file your report online.
