How to file your Washington annual report:WA Corporations and LLCs: The Washington Secretary of State will send your annual report form to your registered agent. One option is to fill it out and mail it in. Corporations and LLCs can also use the UBI and password from the form to file online. See the link below. It is an easy system and only takes a few minutes. WA Nonprofits: Nonprofit corporations get a postcard from the Secretary of State. They can download the annual report form and mail it in or complete the renewal online. You need your UBI number to renew online. You can find it on the reminder postcard or by doing a name search on the SOS website. WA LPs: LP annual report forms can be downloaded on the Washington SOS website. Complete the form, print it, and mail it in with the fee. WA LLPs: LLPs are a little different because they have to file an annual notice with the SOS. WA provides one form for multiple LLP filings. You just use the LLP notice form to update your information annually. WA Charities: Charities file the renewal form found on the Secretary of State’s website under the ‘Charities Home’ tab. When is the Washington Annual Report and Renewal Due?WA Corps, Nonprofits, LLCs, LLPs and LPs file the annual report is due by the last day of the filing anniversary month, and you may file up 45 days before that date. WA Charities file their report with the Charities Program 11 months after the close of their fiscal year; typically November 30th. Does Washington State have initial report requirements?WA Corporations and LLCs, domestic and foreign are required to file the initial report within 120 days of their filing. Initial reports can be filed online or you can complete the form that WA Secretary of State sent with your certificate. Initial reports require a $10 fee. WA Nonprofit, LPs and LLPs do not file an initial report. How do I get notified?The Washington Secretary of State will send the corporation or LLC annual report form to your Washington registered agent about 45 days before the due date. ‘Northwest’ will even file it for you for a small fee. WA Nonprofit corporations receive their annual report notice at least 30 days before it is due. WA LLPs and LPs are sent a notice to the principle address about 45 days before the renewal date. WA Charities receive a renewal postcard at their principle address about 60 days before their registration expires. Late Fees?WA Corporations and LLCs pay an extra $25 to file a report after the due date. WA Charities pay an additional $50 fee to file a late renewal.
