  • LLPs-domestic and foreign: Pay a $500 annual notice fee.
  • WV Charity: $15 or $50 depends on whether the charity raised less or more than one million dollars during the fiscal year.

How to file your West Virginia annual report:

West Virginia allows all entities to file their annual reports online. When you get your WV annual report notification, just follow the instructions to log on and file the report.

If you really want to mail in a paper annual report form, you have to call or email the WV Secretary of State to request a pre-populated form be sent to you by mail.

When is the West Virginia Annual Report Due?

WV Corporations, Nonprofits, LLCs, and LPs file their annual reports by June 30th each year.

WV LLPs have to file an “annual notice” with the SOS by May 31st each year

WV Charities have to file a registration statement with the Secretary of State each year.

Does West Virginia have initial report requirements?

No matter how late in the year your file; you must file a report by June 30th the next year.

How do I get notified?

The West Virginia Secretary of State sends out annual report notices to the business address in January.
