How to order a Delaware Apostille Certificate from the Delaware Secretary of State
An original or certified copy is required. You can order a certified copy of your articles and request an Apostille at the same time. Only one expedite fee needs to be paid if ordering both at the same time. We recommend faxing the order, only if you are requesting the certified copy at the same time. Normal processing varies and can take up to 3 weeks, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $30.00. Expedited service is available for $40.00 or more and should take less than 24 hours, plus additional time for mailing. Always provide the name of the country needing an Apostille.

Provide the Order Form, Delaware certified copy request or original document, and a daytime phone number for any questions on your request cover letter.
By Fax:You may fax your order only if requesting the Delaware certified copy at the same time. Provide the Order Form and a daytime phone number for any questions on a normal fax cover sheet.
In Person:You can drop off a completed Order Form at the office. However, it will only be expedited if priority fees are paid.
Do you need to order a certified copy at the same time or does the fee include a certified copy?
A certified copy can be ordered at the same time. Only one expedite fee will be charged for orders if ordering both at the same time. This fee does not include a certified copy.
How much does it cost to obtain an Delaware State Apostille?
$30.00 per document for normal processing.
$1,000.00 for Priority 1 expedited processing.
$500.00 for Priority 2 expedited processing.
$50.00 for Priority 3 expedited processing.
$40.00 for Priority 4 expedited processing.
Is expedited processing available?
Yes. They provide the following expedited services:
- Priority 1 (one hour service) not including mailing time
- Priority 2 (two hour service) not including mailing time
- Priority 3 (same day service) not including mailing time and
- Priority 4 (24 hour service) not including mailing time
Fees are determined by which type of priority service you request. Expedited processing fees are in addition to the normal $30.00 processing fee.

How will the Apostille Certificate come back after I order from the Delaware Secretary of State?
It will be mailed by regular mail, unless you request otherwise and provide a pre-addressed prepaid envelope or UPS/Fed Ex account number. Return service by fax or email is available only if paying for Priority 1 or Priority 2 expedited processing.
