Pros
Nebraska does not charge a lot of money to start your NE business.
Cons
Nebraska is a little in the stone ages for what it makes businesses go through:
- The SOS provides no template forms for businesses because the NE Bar has lobbied to prevent this so you default to hiring a lawyer.
- The SOS requires original inked signatures. (It’s not 1980 anymore, unless you’re dealing with the NE SOS.)
- You are required to publish your new business in a newspaper, providing a really annoying step to starting your business.
- Nebraska overcomplicates biennial reports. It should be a simple process, but it’s not in Nebraska.
