Pros
MA is actually good with their expedited filings. The weird thing is the entire process though. You have to go online, create a cover sheet, and then fax in the filing with the bar code… Then they have to email the approved filing back. It’s just silly when they could have just coded their website to do it all instantly for you. A nice thing about MASS is they don’t charge a fee for a lot of maintenance oriented filings. You have to email the SOS to get an access code, but they are pretty quick getting that back to you, and then you can make online maintenance filings for free.
Cons
Taxachusetts is famous for taxes and regulation. People say MASS just so they don’t accidentally say Taxachusetts. High fees, high regulation, you have to really want to do business in MASS.
