Pros
Kentucky is a cheap place to initially start a business. The Kentucky SOS also allows online filings which is great.
Cons
The bad thing about doing business in Kentucky is the county and city regulations. Many of the big cities and counties have weird business licenses, income taxes, and fees.
Because of this, you are required to file your new business at the county level after the state level, creating a redundant, waste-of-time burden for new business owners. Most of the rural counties in Kentucky don’t even know what to do with the documents you sent their court house. They barely even have enough employees to staff a courthouse. |
