To resign as a registered agent in Washington, you must submit a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent online, by mail or in-person to the Washington Secretary of State, Corporations and Charities Division. Then, promptly give written notice to the company you had been representing of the date that the resignation was filed.
There is no fee to resign as a Washington registered agent. Documents received by the Washington Secretary of State will be processed in the order that they are received, which could take 2-3 weeks, but service can be expedited for additional fees: $50 in-person (same-day), $20 online (two business days), $50 by mail (two business days).

- Optionally, mailing address of registered agent if different than the street address
- A statement that the registered agent resigns
- Date
- Name and signature of registered agent
- Name and address of the entity to which notice of the resignation will be sent
