How to Get a Maryland Certificate of Status
A certificate of good standing in the State of Maryland is called a Certificate of Status or a Certificate of Existence. You can order by mail, in person, or online, but we recommend online. Online processing is immediate and costs $40. Normal processing takes up to 7 days, plus additional time for mailing, and costs $20. Expedited service is available for $20 more and should take less than 3 days, plus additional time for mailing.

At their website, follow the instructions provided to search and print a certificate. You will be able to authenticate, view and print the pdf certificate yourself immediately. You will want to have your credit card handy.
You will want to provide the business name, payment, return address information, specific request and a daytime phone number for any questions on your cover letter.
Counter service is considered expedited processing. Requested documents can usually be provided the same day. You will want to have your payment handy. Credit cards not accepted in person.
