What Is Iowa Mail Forwarding?

Our Iowa Mail Forwarding service allows you to receive your mail at our office location near the state capital of Des Moines.

With other mail services, you only get a private mailbox number. We don’t think that’s enough, so when you hire Northwest, we’ll give you a private suite number with your address.

We work out of a building we own in Johnston, Iowa. From that building, we’ll sort, open, and scan your mail to your secure online account. It will be ready to view whenever you’re ready to take a look. If you’d rather not have us open your mail, we get it. We can also receive your physical mail and send it to you every week.

If you want, you can also use your Iowa address on business cards and bills. This is a good idea if you’d rather keep your home address off business documents whenever possible.

How Iowa Mail Forwarding Works

You’ve got two options for hiring Northwest as your mail forwarding service.

Option 1: Free Mail Forwarding with Other Services

Not expecting a lot of mail and interested in hiring us for a different service? Our free limited mail forwarding service might be the right package for you.

We’ll give you free limited mail forwarding if you hire us to be your Iowa registered agent. You can also get it when you use us to form your Iowa LLC or incorporate your Iowa corporation or nonprofit.

To clarify: When we act as your registered agent, we’ll always be ready to accept state and legal mail. It doesn’t matter if you never get sued or get sued 10 times a week (though we hope the latter doesn’t happen, for your sake). But what about mail that doesn’t fall into either category?

We can forward up to five pieces of regular mail to you. If we get more than that, we let you view it digitally for $15. If you then decide you want the mail physically bundled up and sent to you, we’ll charge you for shipping and handling.

In other words, this is the best option if you’re more interested in another service of ours and/or only expect a minimal amount of regular business mail.

Option 2: Premium Iowa Mail Forwarding Service for $20

Getting a lot of mail or just want a unique suite number? If so, our Premium Mail Forwarding service could be exactly what you need. You can give out your unique address to anyone who asks, and we’ll accept all the mail you get.

What happens once it arrives at our brick-and-mortar office? First, we receive and sort it. What happens next depends on what plan you pick. If you’re OK with digital scans, we’ll upload your mail into your secure online account. If you’d rather receive physical copies, we can bundle up your mail and send it to you on a weekly basis.
