The Steps To Resign As A South Dakota Registered Agent:

  1. To resign, the South Dakota registered agent must mail a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent to the South Dakota Secretary of State, Business Filings Division.
  2. Then, the agent must promptly give written notice of the date their resignation was filed with the state to the company they had been representing.
