How To Resign As A Registered Agent In Tennessee

To resign as a registered agent in Tennessee, you must deliver a copy of a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent by certified mail to the company you had been representing at their principal office. Then, submit the original Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent and $20 for processing to the Tennessee Secretary of State, Division of Business Services by mail or in-person.

Make sure to use the appropriate resignation form depending on entity type (corporation, LLC, LP). Though official turnaround time is not listed on the Tennessee Secretary of State website, business filings are generally processed within 1-2 days of receipt.

The Steps To Resign As A Tennessee Registered Agent:
