To resign as a registered agent in Utah, you must submit the original and two copies of a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent to the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Corporations and Commercial Code by mail, fax or in-person. Then, promptly provide written notice of the date the resignation was filed with the state to the company you had been representing.

The Steps To Resign As A Utah Registered Agent:

  1. To resign, the Utah registered agent must deliver the original and two copies of a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent to the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Corporations and Commercial Code by mail, fax or in-person.

No. After filing their resignation with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code, the Utah registered agent must promptly send written notice of the date on which the statement was filed with the state to the company that they had been representing.
