To resign as a registered agent in New Hampshire, you must submit multiple copies of a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent to the New Hampshire Department of State, Corporation Division by mail or in-person. The number of copies that must be submitted is dependent on whether the company is domestic or foreign. Domestic registered agents must submit an original and one copy of the statement of resignation, and foreign companies must submit an original and two copies of the statement. There is no fee and no official form to resign as a registered agent in New Hampshire. Resignations delivered in-person can often be processed while-you-wait, and mailed filings may take 1-3 weeks to process.
