Yes, there is a $99 filing fee. Expediting is also available. Mailed filings can add $100 for 2-day processing (not including mailing time). Other expedite options are only available in-person ($200 for 1-day and $300 for 4-hour).

Will I need to provide a Certificate of Good Standing?

Yes. You will need to provide a Certificate of Good Standing that has been issued by the secretary of state in your home state (the state in which your non profit was formed).

Will I need a principal office and statutory agent within the state?

You are required to provide the address of your principal office location in Ohio. You will also need an Ohio statutory agent (also known as a registered agent) that is a resident of Ohio. Northwest Registered Agent is able to provide the statutory agent service for you!

Are there any other filing requirements?

Once you have registered your nonprofit corporation in Ohio, you will need to file a Statement of Continued Existence form for the state of Ohio. This only needs to be done every five years. There is a $25 filing fee each time it is filed.
