How To Resign As A Registered Agent In West Virginia

To resign as a registered agent in West Virginia, you must submit a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent with $15 for processing to the West Virginia Secretary of State, Business and Licensing Division by mail, email, fax or in-person. Include the Customer Order Request Form and choose standard or expedited processing. Then, the Secretary of State will mail a copy of the resignation to the principal office of the West Virginia company you were representing. Standard processing for the resignation of a West Virginia registered agent is 5-10 business days, but service can be expedited for additional fees: 24-hour processing for $25, 2-hour processing for $250, 1-hour processing for $500.

The Steps To Resign As A West Virginia Registered Agent:

  1. To resign, the West Virginia registered agent must deliver a Statement of Resignation of Registered Agent with $15 for processing to the West Virginia Secretary of State, Business and Licensing Division by mail, email, fax or in-person.
