Late Fees: There are no late fees for failing to file a biennial report. However, the state will dissolve your business or revoke your registration if no report is submitted within 90 days after your due date. |
Filing Your Kansas Biennial Report
The Kansas Biennial Report can be submitted online, by mail, or in-person. Either way, you’ll need to visit the Kansas Secretary of State website.
- On the state website, select “Business Entities” under the “Filings & Forms” tab.
- Then, click the middle tab – “Forms by Business Type.”
- Find your specific business type, and click the form name to file by paper OR click “File Now” to file online.
- If you choose to file online, you will need to enter your business name and entity ID number in the appropriate search boxes. Then, click “File Biennial Report.” Don’t know your entity number? You can easily find it by searching the Kansas Business Database. You may want to write this number down, as you will need to include it on your report.
When filing out the Kansas Biennial Report, you will need to include the following information:

Director/officer, member/manager, OR partner names and addresses.

Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).

Number of shares of capital stock – corporations only.

Name, signature, title, and phone number of the person filing the report. LPs and LLLPs must include at least one signature from a general partner.
